This 28,000-square-foot day lodge became the flagship and center of activity for the Sun Valley Company’s aggressive expansion at the base of River Run, Bald Mountain. The lodge is comprised of multiple dining areas, a bar, food and beverage servery, and ticket sales surrounded by the exterior skier plaza. The lodge design, reminiscent of turn-of-the-century National Park structures, incorporates natural stone, exposed log framing and large expanses of glazing.
The 16,000 square foot facility includes a full ski rental and tuning services, outdoor gear and retail services, and private locker room facility.
This award winning 18,000 square foot lodge, at the base of Bald Mountain, reminiscent of turn-of-the-century National Park structures, incorporates natural stone, exposed log framing and large expanses of glazing. Extensive use of granite, marble and exposed metal complement the design.
At an elevation of 8,700 feet on Bald Mountain, the lodge facility takes full advantage of the expansive views in all directions which allows for views to the Wood River Valley, Bald Mountain’s famous bowls, and also the Pioneer and Boulder Mountain Ranges. An expansive kitchen and skier service areas in the 18,000 square foot building surrounds the intimate interiors with exposed log structure and a four-sided stone fireplace at the center. The interiors are carefully detailed with fine French woodwork, marble, stone and selected metal finishes.
The 26,000 square foot multifunctional day lodge at the base of Dollar Mountain, includes state-of-the-art children’s ski school, daycare, ski shop, restaurant, and meeting spaces.
The Roundhouse Express Gondola connects River Run Base Area to the Roundhouse Restaurant. The project includes the upper and lower gondola terminals, access platforms, and associated equipment and maintenance facilities.
